Definers Public Affairs Ramps Up With Two Senior Additions

Today Definers Public Affairs, the unique consulting firm that brings campaign tactics to corporate America, announced the additions of Michael Clemente and Colin Reed to their roster. Clemente will be responsible for growing Definers’ brand, providing strategic media advice and developing new clients, while Reed will serve as a senior vice president with a focus on strategic communications and business development.

Today’s announcement comes on the heels of announcing an expansion with a California Bay Area office now led by Tim Miller, one of the firm’s partners, and the launching of a sister affiliate operation in London.

“Just like political campaigns, the private sector is adjusting to the evolving communication tactics brought on by the rise of social media,” said Matt Rhoades, founder of Definers. “Simply put, info flow matters more than ever, and with Michael and Colin on board, Definers is well equipped to help our clients manage new challenges.”

“These additions to our team show that Definers is going to the next level,” added Joe Pounder, the company’s president. “There’s an increasing demand for skilled communicators to help companies navigate choppy waters and stay ahead of their opponents, and Definers has the talent to meet those needs.”

One of the media’s most successful executives, Clemente most recently served as Executive Vice President of Fox News in charge of hard news programming, breaking news, political coverage, debates and hard news specials. At ABC News, he was writer/producer for Peter Jennings, Executive Producer of 20/20 and also launched one of the first 24/7 digital channels, ABC News Now. In addition, he was Vice President of talk shows, strategic planning and breaking news at CNN, built a private corporate television network and produced commercial work for several Fortune 500 companies.

Reed served as the Executive Director of America Rising PAC during the 2016 election cycle, and was described by The Hill as, “a veteran of the opposition-research wars that have helped to define presidential races.” Politico called Reed “dogged in his pursuit to put points on the board against Hillary Clinton and Democrats everywhere.” Reed was campaign manager for Senator Scott Brown, and also has experience working with Governor Mitt Romney, Governor Chris Christie and Senator John McCain.

Definers Public Affairs is a unique consulting firm that translates proven political campaign communications techniques to the corporate, trade association and issue advocacy fields.
